Privacy Policy

This policy is a plain-language draft and is pending formal legal review. It describes how Gifted actually handles your data today, but it is not yet final legal text.

What we collect

Gifted stores the information you give it to do its job: your account details (name, email address), the people you add as gift recipients, their occasions and dates, budgets, interests, and any gift notes or clues you save.

• If you connect Google or Outlook, we import the contacts and calendar events you choose. Access tokens are stored encrypted.
• If you upload a CSV, we read it only to create the recipients and occasions you confirm.
• We keep standard security logs (sign-in times, IP addresses) to protect your account.

How we use it

Your data is used to remind you about occasions and to generate gift suggestions — including sending relevant details (like a recipient’s interests and budget) to the AI providers that power recommendations. We do not sell your personal data.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from the account settings page at any time. Deletion removes your profile, recipients, occasions, and related personal data from our systems.
